Best Boost Mobile phones to get in 2024 (2024)

Hardware isn’t the only aspect of the iPhone package that’s been improved on the latest Pro Max model. The iPhone 14 Pro Max (and the iPhone 14 Pro) come with a new for Apple Always On Display functionality that keeps the lock screen lit at all times, giving you access to your latest notifications, widgets, and lock screen art. The latest flavors of iOS also fully embrace customization as their go-to theme, allowing for unprecedented customization.

Overall, the iPhone 14 Pro Max is an expensive, but very well worth it flagship phone, one of the best devices available throughout 2023 and easily the very best iPhone you could get these days.

If you’re on the hunt for a compact Android phone in 2023, pack it up and cease your search: you will hardly find any better than Samsung’s refined Galaxy S23. Powered by the custom Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, a slightly faster version of the stock chip, Samsung finally puts the “P” in “performance” and comes up with a no-compromise flagship phone in all regions across the globe. Gone is the Exynos flavor, for now, which means that people that used to shy away from Samsung’s flagship endeavors have no reason to beat around the bush anymore.

With an updated design that’s now more in line with the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the Galaxy S23 is a phone that definitely punches above its weight. Mind you, it does this while still retaining its super-compact dimensions, which absolutely make it one of the more manageable devices that you might consider in early 2023. As an added bonus, the One UI interface on board is among our favorite Android skins.

With high-end specs, good camera performance, decent battery life, and excellent performance, the Galaxy S23 is a phone for people who value the true Samsung flagship experience in a smaller package, with all the bells and whistles that made it great in the first place.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max

One of Apple's best iPhones

Best Boost Mobile phones to get in 2024 (1)

7.1

Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max

The Good

  • Amazing battery life
  • Super bright display with great colors
  • Fastest performance of any phone
  • Improved camera
  • Best video quality of any phone

The Bad

  • Lacks fast charging
  • Size is a bit extreme and it is a heavy phone
  • Cinematic Mode needs some more polish
  • No USB-C makes life more complicated

Despite being superseded by the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the iPhone 14 Pro Max is still a top iPhone with tons of advanced features that are yet to be found on a majority of iPhones. We are talking about an Liquid Retina XDR display with 120Hz refresh rate, a telephoto camera, and most importantly, super-long battery life that's certainly in a class of its own.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max is outfitted with the Apple A16 Bionic chip (which also powers the latest iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus), 6GB of RAM, and a triple 12MP camera, which combines wide and ultra-wide cameras with a 3X telephoto camera. In our iPhone 13 Pro Max review, we concluded that the phone"is clearly one of the best big phones around," and this still holds true in 2023.

On Boost Mobile, you can have the 256GB iPhone 13 Pro Max for $1,100, but the entry-level 128GB storage variant will set you back a $1,000.

Apple iPhone 13 Pro

One of the top iPhones to get in 2022

6.8

Apple iPhone 13 Pro

The Good

  • Big improvements in battery life
  • ProMotion 120Hz is great
  • Great photo quality in all conditions
  • Best video quality of any smartphone
  • Cinematic Mode
  • Apple A15 is the fastest chip on the market

The Bad

  • Relatively slow charging speeds
  • No USB-C makes life more complicated
  • Phone has gotten a bit too heavy
  • Oversized cameras look plain ugly

The iPhone 13 Pro is essentially similar to the iPhone 13 Pro Max in all ways, except for its display and battery size. With a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina XDR display and a notably smaller 3,095mAh battery (versus a 4,352mAh one on the iPhone 13 Pro Max), the iPhone 13 Pro is definitely a way more compact, but slightly less appealing version of the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Still, it gets the same Apple A15 chip with 6GB of RAM on deck, a triple 12MP camera system, and the same 120Hz display that makes scrolling so rewarding.

But still, even though it has a much smaller battery, the iPhone 13 Pro brings the same battery life improvements that graced the iPhone 13 Pro Max and greatly improves the longevity and battery life endurance versus the previous 6.1-inch Pro models in the iPhone family.

The iPhone 13 Pro relies on the comfortable familiarity of all iPhones since forever; it doesn't throw all of its new features in your eyes from the get-go and instead offers a familiar experience that will intuitively suck you in. In our iPhone 13 Pro review, we praised it for the "longer battery life, an actual zoom camera, far better portraits, macro mode, a brighter display, more power for gaming, and smooth and luxurious 120Hz ProMotion display."

  • Plastic construction might disappoint some
  • No microSD, no headphone jack
  • Thermal throttling is an issue

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

Samsung's Galaxy S21 FE is a great upper mid-range device currently available at a great discount on Boost Mobile.

$400 off (57%)

Despite the multiple delays and overall uncertainty if we're ever going to see a Galaxy S21 FE at all, the phone got launched eventually. In fact, it has positioned itself as a fascinating affordable flagship offshoot only overshadowed by the Galaxy S22-series. Disregarding the latter, the S21 FE is an excellent phone that utilizes the Snapdragon 888 processor and boasts a 3X telephoto camera, as well as fairly decent battery life.

Overall, it's a fantastic alternative for individuals who aren't enticed by the Galaxy S22 series, and a sensible offering among the sea of Android devices. The 6.4-inch AMOLED phone doesn't have a 3.5mm audio jack or a microSD card slot, but boasts a large 4,500mAh battery as well as 45W charging speeds, which is by no means slow. In our Galaxy S21 FE review, we called it a "phone caught up in the whirlwinds of transformation happening in the smartphone industry," but you should probably still consider it if you find it at a great price.

And lucky you, you just have! Normally, the S21 FE sells for $699.99 on Boost Mobile, but at the time of writing, it's down to $299.99 with a new line, which is an excellent deal.

  • Gaming experience is a bit of a let down

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G

This excellent Samsung mid-range phone offers great value, and is currently discounted a lot on Boost Mobile.

$250 off (56%)

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is. for all intents and purposes, our go-to recommendation when mid-range phones are considered. This Samsung phones has a very decent specs of features, and despite the few important shortcomings, it's a worthy device to consider if you're not going for a super-premium flagship phone.

The Galaxy A53 5G comes with a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by a 5nm Exynos 1280 chipset, consisting of two performance Cortex A-78 cores and six Cortex A-55 cores running in concert. The phone is equipped with 6GB of RAM, a fairly standard for mid-rangers, as well as 128GB of native storage. Unlike more premium Samsung phones, this one still retains a microSD card expansion slot for some extra storage. There's a large 5,000mAh battery at the rear that should provide more than a day of usage, as well as relatively fast 25W charging.

In our Galaxy A53 5G review, we called it "a solid upgrade over the A52 5G and is a great phone for its price range." A really decent offering that's currently available for just $200 on Boost Mobile.
